Description:

• Reporting to the Value Stream Leader, the buyer planner is primarily responsible for developing detailed production plans for all manufacturing levels and to schedule raw materials to support those production plans.
• Responsibilities will also include developing and implementing appropriate planning techniques (Kanban, reorder-point, lot for lot, etc.) for segments of the value stream, as well as Manufacturing Work Order monitoring.
• The Buyer Planner will work closely with department / group leaders in setting priorities and monitoring production results.
• Aside from production/materials responsibilities, the Buyer Planner will support Continuous Improvement initiatives by participating in Value Streams CI actions / projects.
• The Buyer Planner may also serve as Project Team member in applicable Engineering Projects.

 Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree
• 5 or more years of production planning / coordination
• Working knowledge of ERP systems.
• Basic Understanding of CI tools (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)
• Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and customer skills
• Good organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills and the ability to work accurately and meet deadlines
• Demonstrated flexibility and excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize
• Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team
