Summary
Responsibilities
The Senior
Engineering Technician is primarily responsible for assisting the
development, test, and transfer of product from R&D into
Manufacturing.
Primary
Duties
-
Test new
products in the development cycle to characterize performance
-
Develop and
revise Bills Of Material
-
Develop and
revise assembly procedures and work instructions
-
Build, test
and troubleshoot assemblies
-
Troubleshoot
manufacturing processes; improve quality, throughput, and cost
-
Sketch and
build simple fixtures to assist assembly and test operations
-
Assure
product is built to meet quality standards
-
Maintains
hardware supplies on the R&D lab
-
Maintains
equipment to standardized Preventive Maintenance schedules
-
Build
electronic cable assemblies per prototype documentation
-
Perform
debug exercise on system level and component level assemblies
Qualifications & Experience
-
5 years
previous experience, at a minimum, in medical device
engineering/R&D
-
A graduate
degree from a US High/Vocational School is acceptable, but an
Associate’s Degree in and Engineering Technology, or Certificate
from a Technical Institute in mechanics, electronics, is
preferred
-
A strong
mechanical aptitude is required; designing and building
production fixtures a plus
-
The ability
to multitask and work under aggressive deadlines are critical to
success

Must have
good English speaking and writing skills

Must be able
to read mechanical drawings

Must be self
motivated and organized

Must have an
ability to work with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
