Title:  VP of Engineering

Position Overview: 

We are looking for an VP of Engineering who has significant theoretical and practical experience using the mechanical engineering disciplines of fluid flow, heat transfer, and stress analysis.  The VP must use that experience to lead others in designing plastic process equipment and multi-material co-injection molding systems.   

The ideal candidate has a history of using basic principles to quantify the phenomena underlying new design problems and has the ability to quickly provide guidance to the engineering staff and others needing solutions over a wide range of technical problems.  He/she must have the ability to teach others how to optimize design solutions, must be able to set and maintain project schedules and manage the output of the current staff of four engineers and designers. 

This position reports directly to the President and will be part of the Executive Management Team. 

 Qualifications: 

• The position desires a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least fifteen years of Engineering experience, including a minimum of five years in a management role (leading and managing a team). 
• Strong communication and project management skills are critical to the success of the VP of Engineering. 
• This is a senior level position within a small company, and the successful candidate will have the ability to interact and communicate with management, suppliers, vendors and customers, as well as be “hands on”. 
• Experience with solid modeling and/or plastics are a plus.
